This hand knotted Avanos prayer rug from Central Anatolia is a vintage piece showing signs of age and wear that enhance its authenticity while giving it strong decorative flair. The clear architectural mihrab in warm brick red features beautiful abrash and is framed by multiple borders with stylised ram’s horns and hooked motifs in saffron yellow, pistachio, aubergine and walnut brown.
