Turkoman

An exceptional, boldly striped Turkoman kilim with vibrant colours and rhythmic structure. The design features continuous horizontal rows of stylised diamonds and hook motifs in strong black, navy blue, ivory, orange, and terracotta on a deep reddish-violet ground. The interplay of shape and colour creates a fascinating visual rhythm across the surface. Typical of Turkmen kilim weaving, the piece includes delicately graduated zigzag elements along the border, executed here in dark indigo.
