This exceptionally fine and rare Nain round rug originates from the world renowned city of Nain in Central Persia and represents one of the highest achievements of classical Persian master workshop weaving. Located east of Isfahan, Nain is internationally celebrated for producing highly refined carpets distinguished by their precise drawing, harmonious ornamentation, and luxurious materials. This elegant round rug captivates through its perfect symmetry and the remarkable clarity of its classical medallion composition. At the centre unfolds an intricately designed star shaped medallion in shades of blue and ivory surrounded by countless floral arabesques and delicate scrolling vines. The harmonious arrangement creates a calm and almost meditative atmosphere found only in the finest Nain carpets. Particularly striking is the famous Nain palette of soft pastel tones, ivory, sky blue, midnight blue, and subtle accents of brown and grey. The elegant pencil like precision of the drawing further highlights the extraordinary fineness of the knotting. The luxurious pile made from fine kurk wool is enriched with shimmering silk inlays that beautifully reflect the light and add visual depth to the composition. The richly detailed border perfectly frames the central ornament and enhances the balanced overall appearance. Thanks to its rare round format, this piece is ideally suited as a luxurious centrepiece for representative living spaces, elegant salons, or refined entrance areas. An exceptionally fine Persian round rug combining timeless elegance, master craftsmanship, and decorative sophistication.
