This Belouch Filpa rug comes from Afghanistan and is hand knotted from finely spun wool on a sturdy foundation. The warm copper and terracotta field is structured by eight octagonal medallions, each divided into four zones with stylised floral and diamond motifs. Dark blue green accents create a beautiful contrast to the earthy base tones and give the rug depth. The border is richly decorated with star and diamond patterns, framing the composition in a harmonious way. The pile is dense, pleasantly soft and shows a natural sheen. The rug is in very good condition and makes a strong decorative statement in both living and working spaces.
