This Qashqai kilim charms with its calm cream coloured field densely scattered with small, finely drawn protective symbols in red, blue, black and natural shades. The gentle rhythm of the motifs feels almost like a textile starry sky, giving the flatweave a light and airy character. The surrounding borders in warm brown, indigo and rust tones form a strong frame with typical zigzag and band patterns of the Qashqai nomads from south western Persia. The handspun wool feels pleasantly soft and shows a beautiful natural patina. A timeless nomadic piece that brings calm and character into any interior.
