A rare Karakeçili rug that impresses with its traditional, hand-knotted patterns and colours. The rug has a rectangular format and is characterised by bold colours, especially shades of red and black, which dominate the design.
The central field of the rug is deep red and contains geometric patterns in various colours, such as green, orange and blue. These patterns are typical symbols found in many Anatolian rugs and often have cultural or religious meanings. The main pattern is surrounded by a wide, cream-coloured frame, which is also decorated with red geometric shapes.
The outer edge of the rug is black and features a series of floral motifs in red, yellow and green that frame the entire rug. This combination of bold colours and symbolic patterns gives the Karakeçili rug its special radiance and makes it a valuable piece of traditional carpet art.
Overall, the carpet has a very harmonious appearance and is a typical example of the high level of craftsmanship of Anatolian carpet weavers.
