This traditional Gür Band originates from the nomadic cultures of Central Asia and was originally used as a tent band to secure yurts. Its elongated narrow format is decorated with a rhythmic sequence of geometric medallions in warm red, orange and natural ivory tones, framed by strong dark borders. The hand-spun wool and slightly irregular structure give this piece a genuine, authentic character. Preserved in complete form and in good condition, this Gür Band is today both a historical textile artefact and a striking decorative accent for contemporary interiors.
