This carpet is also called Goltogh and Koltuk. It has echoes of Ferahan as well as those of the Hamadan region and is made by Kurdish nomads and semi-nomads. Similar to Bidjar, the weft of Goltuk is also beaten down strongly, which makes the carpet hard. If it is rolled up, then only with the pile facing outwards. Otherwise it may break. Despite its somewhat cool colours (grey-bluish, brown-green), it sometimes also shows warmer shades. Goltuk is a highly prized carpet and very popular with collectors of nomadic carpets.
