This Beshir khordjin originates from Turkmenistan or the northern Afghan border region and is a semi-old piece less than 25 years old. The front is finely and densely hand-knotted in wool, while the back is traditionally flatwoven. The design features three bold diamond medallions in warm red with dark outlines and small protective motifs. A particularly striking detail is the very long, lavish multicoloured wool fringe, giving the piece a vivid and dynamic presence. The colours are exceptionally well preserved, the pile height is very good and the wool has a beautiful natural sheen. Overall, the khordjin is in very good condition and stands out for its fine knotting and authentic nomadic character.
