This Mushwani nomadic bag comes from the border region between Afghanistan and Pakistan and is a semi-old piece less than 25 years old. The front is finely hand-knotted using excellent quality wool and shows a beautiful natural sheen after professional washing. At the centre is a bold diamond medallion in blue, red and orange, surrounded by hooked motifs and strong geometric protective symbols on a black ground. Typical recycled textile inserts along the sides underline its authentic nomadic character. The colours are vivid, the pile feels soft and the condition is very good with only minimal signs of use.
