A very fine traditionally made Aubusson tapestry from the beginning of the 19th century in a sought-after smaller size. This magnificent piece shows a royal hunting scene in a Verdure-coloured forest landscape. The golden colour shimmers over the depiction of horses and hunters surrounded by nature. The depiction shows the capture of a wild boar and the accompanying pack of hounds. A masterly work of European weaving art in France.
