This beautiful Turkmen tent band stands out for its delicate embroidery and rhythmic allover pattern of stylised hooked motifs. The warm brick red ground is highlighted with accents of blue, white and ochre. A few stains and small repairs are visible in the unembroidered section, while the embroidered area is preserved in very good condition. For Turkmen nomads, such tent bands served both practical and symbolic purposes within the yurt. A genuine collector’s piece with strong decorative appeal.
