This Shirvan rug was made in Afghanistan and is a new oriental carpet woven in village tradition using natural wool with a cotton foundation. The light field is dominated by three large diamond medallions in warm red, beige and soft cyan tones. A wide, richly patterned border frames the clear geometric composition. The deep pile gives the rug a soft feel and a cosy appearance, making it suitable for both modern and classic interiors.
