A very rare silk and metal threads antique Kum Kapur silk rug from Istanbul in Turkey. The central field composed as a prayer niche (mihrab design) arch bordered by bands of of floral scrolls and design, gold and silver coloured fringes in the border design. Made circa. 1900 by armenian masterweavers in Istanbul.
