This outstanding Beshir soumak features a dense diamond lattice in warm shades of red, orange and beige on an earthy brown ground. The geometric design feels powerful yet refined, enhanced by the relief effect created through the soumak technique. A distinctive characteristic is the reverse side, entirely covered with long wool threads, giving the flatweave an unusually soft handle compared to classic kilims. The very long dark fringes emphasise its nomadic origin and make this piece a striking decorative highlight. A highly attractive collectible in good condition that beautifully combines tradition, craftsmanship and visual impact.
