<p><span>A charming rose coloured rug by a weaver of the Taimani tribe from western Afghanistan, in which the field is patterned with diverse stylised geometric motifs which are representative of floral forms, arranged into a coherent composition with all the panache for which the Taimani are renowned. The warm, earthy colours and woollen warp and weft foundation weave are both indicative of authentic nomadic weaving, this further confirmed by the delightful spontaneity apparent in the handling of the design.</span></p>
