Ziegler carpets were the first decorative carpets to be knotted in Arak in Iran for the European market. The company, which was based in Switzerland and England, was regarded as a pioneer in carpet development at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, these carpets are adapted to the taste of fashion. The patterns are reminiscent of both Persian and European designs. The wool is spun and dyed with vegetable dyes.
