This attractive Kazak rug has a beautiful blue and red colour combination for an antique Caucasian Kazak, the use of blue leshgi medallions within the primary red field especially. The main field has 3 Leshgi stars of two matching on opposing side of the center star which stands apart with its mirror opposite colors but utilizing blue color in the outer space surrounding the star. The abrashes (colour changes) add to the character and vibrancy of this piece and is an exemplary weave. Decorated with a beautiful tis rug is in used condition and recently professionally cleaned and is ready for everyday use. Low pile throughout with some more and less visible repairs. The beautiful border rounds of this genuine Leshgi Kazak which are no longer being knotted.
