This exceptional designer rug was commissioned by the AUGS (Amiga User Group Switzerland, augs.ch) and handwoven by Zollanvari. It beautifully combines Persian craftsmanship with digital nostalgia. The iconic red and white checkerboard design features the legendary Amiga Boing Ball, with its shading and light source carefully considered. The reflection has been rendered so that the upper part of the sphere appears brighter, perfectly capturing the illusion of shine and depth. Woven by skilled Luri weavers in the southern Persian province of Fars, known for their precise knotting and durable wool, the fine wool pile on natural grey wool gives the piece a soft touch and rich colour depth. A rug that playfully pays homage to the digital aesthetics of the 1980s, masterfully crafted by hand. A collector’s piece for design enthusiasts, Amiga fans, and anyone who appreciates cultural history beneath their feet.
