An attractive Ziegler rug with a beautiful border and the typical floral pattern. Ziegler carpets were the first decorative carpets to be knotted in Arak in Iran for the European market. The company, which was based in Switzerland and England, was considered a pioneer in carpet development at the beginning of the 20th century. The patterns are reminiscent of both Persian and European designs. The wool is spun and dyed with vegetable dyes.
